Upscale and newly renovated, Casa desColibris, a Taos vacation rental home, is located in the popular Los Altos resort community with Clubhouse Pool & Tennis and feels brand spanking new!

This spacious adobe vacation home sleeps 8 guests in 3.5 bedrooms. The den/office transforms to the fourth sleeping area implicated by the listed "half bedroom" feature. This well designed and equipped room enables 2 computer buffs to work simultaneously. The den/office is also a great getaway for the guest who longs for respit from group activities. Last, but not least, it is home to an upscale, easy to pull out, cushy double futon for a great night's sleep.

A gourmet kitchen with upscale gas convection oven/range is open to the great room living area for all to enjoy and participate with the chef. The island bar with two handy stools makes chopping vegetables a delightful social pursuit. Seating is ample at the extra long and wide hand crafted southwest style dining table which also views the Taos Mountain panorama and east pastures. You are guaranteed of seeing nearby coyotes at play, cattle grazing and horses looking for the friendly guest with an apple or carrot.

There is an outdoor adobe kiva fireplace for romantic evenings. Socializing outdoors, under Taos starry night skies with a kiva fire popping is like none other. Roasting hot dogs or marshmallows for making "Smores" is a favorite past time with outdoor kivas.

Within an easy walk is the clubhouse with heated indoor pool and relaxing lounge. No food or beverages, but a quiet place to get away from the hustle bustle going on at the house. Outdoor tennis can be enjoyed year round as long as there's no snow on the court.

The best news is "location". Half way between the biggest reasons most folks venture out here - Taos Ski Valley and the town of Taos Village. 8 miles in either direction. Heading up to Taos Ski Valley there are no traffic lights or stop signs. Just 8 miles of mother nature's beauty up that mountain road with the Rio Hondo river all the way up. Guests are welcome to pull over and enjoy the gifts of that treasured mountain stream - fishing, wading, picnicking, exploring, etc. Casa des Colibris is within an easy walk to the quaint town of Arroyo Seco with its bars, restaurants, art galleries and shops. Also home to the famous July Fourth Parade!

PREMIERE PROPERTIES POLICIES

RESERVATIONS: Are confirmed & property is taken off market when contract is completely filled in and received by Premiere. For reservations made more than 30 days from arrival, 50% deposit is to be paid by check due within 7 days of booking. Balance can be paid by check or Master Card/Visa and is due 30 days before arrival (60 days Xmas/NY's, Spring Break and reservations of 14 or more nights). Reservations made within 30 days of arrival will be charged to a Visa or Mastercard.

CHECK IN: Check-in is anytime after 4 pm. Check-out is no later than 10:00 am so housekeeping can be ready for next party arrival at 4:00 pm.

CANCELLATION POLICY: More than 30 days before arrival (60 days Xmas/NY's, Spring Break, and reservations of 14 or more nights) cancellation fee is 21% of total reservation. Less than 30 days before arrival, (60 days Xmas/NY's, Spring Break, and reservations of 14 or more nights) forfeiture of 100% of full reservation unless property is rebooked for entire stay at same rate. If booked for less, refund portion will be prorated (less the 21% cancellation fee). There are no refunds for late arrival or early departure.
Travel Insurance coverage provided by Travel Guard is optional. Please call Travel Guard for more information.

CUSTOMER SERVICE: Each property has a private caretaker to assist guests with maintenance issues, lost keys, directions, etc. Guest is to contact caretaker for such issues. If there is an urgent matter and caretaker does not respond with 30 minutes guest should then call Premiere at.

DEPARTURE: Property is to be left in good order by following the printed guidelines in each home. Should the guidelines be missing common sense should rule. Should property be left in poor order please read "SECURITY DEPOSIT" below.
GUEST POLICY: Should there be more overnight guests (including children) other than number disclosed in contract (other than prior approved visits) the party will be required to immediately vacate the premises without refund and full security deposit will be forfeited. If a large party gathers without prior disclosure to "Premiere" the full security deposit shall be forfeited and party will immediately terminate.

SECURITY DEPOSIT PER DWELLING: Debit Cards will be pre-authorized for $525. Should damages or extra cleaning occur, my credit card will be charged $500.00 dollars plus a $25.00 dollar non-refundable service charge. Premiere Properties will send $500 to the homeowner along with my name, address, email and phone number. Prorated refund will be returned directly by Homeowner. Evidence of unauthorized pets or smoking in the house will result in forfeiture of full security deposit. (see direction sheet for partial explanation of possible damages) Premiere Properties will be held harmless and will not be involved in damage negotiations.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY: This property is privately owned & cared for. Premiere Properties is acting as Reservation Service only for the use of the subject property. For homes with hot tubs, I understand the risks of hot tub/Jacuzzi use, and recognize that for some people adverse reactions can occur, including but not limited to skin rash. Neither Premiere Properties, nor the Owner or their Agents will be held liable or responsible for personal injury, accidents, loss of life, valuables or personal property due to fire, theft, neglect, or any catastrophe or natural disaster which might occur at the above named property during the above stated time period. If this property becomes unavailable, due to unforeseen circumstances, I understand Premiere Properties will do all possible to move my party to an equal or upgraded option.
PAYMENT: All funds due within 30 days of arrival (60 days Christmas, New Year, Spring Break and reservations of 14 or more days). 50% deposit of total reservation due by check within 7 days of booking.

Wonderful home with spectacular mountain views! We enjoyed this home so much. We stayed with our 6 kids from ages 2-15. It felt like home as soon as we put down our bags. Very very roomy living space where we could spread out and relax. Bedrooms very comfortable. Laundry facilities so convenient and in excellent condition. We used the outdoor fireplace for smores. Sat on back patio and took in mountain views. Watched hundreds of hummingbirds outside the window daily. Can't wait to get back! Wonderful neighborhood pool that the kids loved. - K. O'Shea

We wanted a place our "twenty something's" could gather with us at Christmas time and feel at home yet still on vacation. Casa Colibri was just the ticket. It was very inviting, open and warm with mountain views out back. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms (one of which has a kiva fireplace) are quite roomy and comfortable. The master suite is massive with its own Kiva fireplace and rirewood was plentiful for all 3 fireplaces. Home is heated by heating of the floor tiles and we were amazed at how warm the home was despite the wind and cold temps. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and everything you need is provided. After the first morning, having made 4 pots of coffee in a small 8 cup coffee maker, we found a 12 cup, trusty "Mr Coffee" in the utility room! The location is great, being a 10 min to Taos Ski Valley and similar distance to city of Taos. Caretaker Linda was very responsive and communication was outstanding. The hot tub, tv, and sound system all added to great times spent inside, hanging out. Everything was clean, well kept, and tastefully decorated. Loved that there were extra towels for hot tubbing and a washer and dryer for our use. - S. Weaver

This was an ideal location and home for two couples! The wild flowers and potted flowers were all in full bloom. The hummingbirds were buzzing all around our heads when we sat on the patio! The hot tub was a very nice amenity! We enjoyed exploring the darling town of Arroyo Seco--don't miss the Taos Cow! I would gladly recommend this property! - P. Ball
